Disco ball drone – 2018 / EN

During our residency at Château Ephémère, Paul Heintz and I each designed an original object/apparatus to feature during a group event open to residents of the Carrières-sous-Poissy area. I created a drone-powered disco ball that can be flown and steered remotely: a customized technical adaptation that transforms how the object is viewed and takes it outside the exhibition space. Paul Heintz developed a device that captures and broadcasts sound, using the techniques adopted by pirate radio stations.
